Volunteer St. Louis
Interested in being a volunteer at our St. Louis Visions for Vets Art School? We have teaching opportunities, meal programs, and other ways you can help our Visions for Vets Art program grow and our Veterans thrive.
Artists & Art Graduate Students
We always need Artists who would like to teach their craft, as well as Art Graduate Students as interns. Our internship program counts toward graduate credit hours and can be added to your resume. Currently, V4V offers a variety of free one-on-one classes in several disciplines of visual arts. As we grow, we look forward to adding classes such as photography, digital design, bookmaking, and many others. If you think this is something you can help us with, contact Scott Beaty today!

Mess Guest Program
Another way you can help is with our Mess Guest Program. We encourage outside organizations, restaurants, and civilians to provide meals for our classes on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. Sharing a meal is of great importance to our Veterans’ healing process. We eat together family-style, sharing stories and building relationships, which provides hope and laughter and eases loneliness. Often this is the only meal our Veterans get all week. If you want to volunteer to bring a meal or know someone who loves to cook and share, let us know!
100% Volunteer & Donation Operated
Visions for Vets is a 100% volunteer and donation funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Everything is Free to our Veterans and their caregivers. We are not affiliated with or funded by any government/VA programs. That’s why our volunteers mean everything. Our program couldn’t survive without you! It takes a village to fulfill our mission: to help our Veterans heal through the wonders of art, build bridges to incorporate Veterans back into the community, and offer avenues of employment, all in a fun, positive, safe, and encouraging environment.
Visions for Vets and our Veteran Artists love our volunteers and want to encourage you to call and ask how you can help. There are many ways to volunteer not mentioned here that we can discuss. We would like to mention that due to the sensitivity of many of our Veterans, we must maintain a limited non-Veteran-to-Veteran proportion (3 non-veteran volunteers at a time) to ensure the security and comfort of our Veteran Peer Group.
Art School & Volunteer Schedule
Presently Visions for Vets holds classes every Friday evening at 6:00 PM and every Saturday Morning at 8:00 AM.
